ARSENAL3 - CHELSEA0: TALKING POINTS

Arsenal put the blues to the sword in a wonderful display and while the scoreline may look bad for the blues, it's actually flattering to be honest as it could have been far worst.

THEO WALCOTT LOOKING REJUVENATED
The winger looks like a completely different player from the one that many gooners had written off last season and today, he looked like a man on a mission as his energy and constant pressing caused the Blues a lot of problem in but attack and defence, He also capped off his wonderful perfomance with a well taken goal that will only justify Wenger's decision to keep faith in him.

THE SANCHEZ EXPERIMENT IS PAYING OFF
There's been a lot of talk about why Wenger insists on playing Alexis as our main striker and today it clearly paid off as his combination with Walcott, Iwobi and Ozil had a very dynamic feel to it. The opening goal showed the importance of having a player with that raw pace up front that can capitalise on errors made by opponents or press them into errors.

ARSENAL SQUAD DEPTH ON SHOW AGAIN
The exit of Francis Coquelin due to Injury would have been a reason for major concern last season but today it simply seemed like his exit was an opportunity for someone that could even be better to step in. No doubt Coquelin will be missed as he's forged a good partnership with Santi but there's no reason why Xhaka or Elneny can't form such a partnership with the spanish maestro, and what about Rambo?

GIBBO WILL COME GOOD
I know I've been going on and on about how much I want Gibbo to get some minutes but I honestly just want the man to be given more opportunities. Today he came in to replace Iwobi as the left winger and had a decent 30 minute or so performance.

IS MUSTAFI A NEW SIGNING?
Honestly, it's hard to tell if there's a new man at the back, as the German defender has fit seemlessly into our backline and his partnership with Laurent will only keep improving as the season proceeds. today he marshalled the defence well and kept Costa quiet for most of the game without letting the Spanish Striker get under his skin.

NO RED CARDS AND NO COSTA ISSUES
I guess this has more to do with the fact that the backline that played today were more calm headed(Gabriel) and pacier(Mertasacker) , so Costa simply didn't have his way like he's had in recent times.

CHELSEA WERE OUT OF IDEAS
By the time the second goal got in, the match seemed like it was over. Chelsea struggled to conjure anything meaningful with possession. Without taking anything away from the Arsenal backline, the Blues attack simply looked like they were down and out after theo put us 2 ahead and were lucky to even be 3 goals down at the end of the game.

CHELSEA STILL DEPENDENT ON JOHN TERRY
The absence of the Former England International was felt today as the Chelsea back line was in shambles. The error-prone Gary Cahill will certainly not have made the starting line-up today had the Skipper been fit.
