I'm certainly not the first to say it, Ligue 1 categorically sucks. There's such a huge gap between PSG and the other teams that the season ends before it even begins. What's more annoying is that it doesn't seem like its going to change anytime soon.
Monaco were promoted and infused with a couple of billions by their Russian owner and we got excited. They brought in stars like James Rodriguez, Jao Moutinho, Falcao and we were all thinking; Wow they're going to really push PSG all the way. Fast forward to now and there's nothing but a couple of champions league appearances, profit from the sales of James and whatever the hell you want to call Falcao.
PSG reminds me of my Career mode team in FIFA. Its basically like playing the season against computer level on "Professional", You could basically win every game of the season, but sometimes just simulate games so it'll look realistic. Winning the French league has probably lost its value and I honestly wonder what Laurent Blanc's team talk with his players are like, its probably "go out there and have fun" in French of course. Not unless something drastic happens, the French league is going to fade into oblivion and no matter how many superstars PSG entice with money, no one will absolutely give a damn.
