Life as we know it tends to take us to different places, we meet new people, make new friends and enemies alike, learn new languages and in Garry Neville's case; go from being a Sky sport pundit criticizing other managers on their tactics and approach to the game to running a household Liga BBVA team to the ground.
Yup, Valencia continue their woeful season under the inexperienced English man. Replacing Nuno with Garry was always a gamble and after 8 winless games in the game, its starting to seem like Valencia faithfuls lost the bet.
Valencia are currently six points above the closest relegation spot and a unsurprisingly nine points behind the closest European spot, so they're indeed in a mid table squable. What's depressing though is that there aren't any signs of improvement and with the Liga currently in the business end of proceedings, its not going to get any easier.
Whether its the language barrier, the players or his coaching staff, we may never know, what we do know is that pundits always feel its their job to make pointless, shortsighted, "amnesiac" statements about coaches and their teams and he(Garry) is just one of many pundits I've grown to dislike.
I hope he turns things around at Valencia and prove me wrong but I doubt that's going to happen. He'll go home today feeling really sore from losing to a relegation threatened team at the Mestalla(that's Valencia's home) and probably feeling he would have been better off criticizing Arsene Wenger rather than being in the hot seat.
"....What motivates me is an ideal of thinking about how football should be. And to try to get near this way of playing. And to try to improve all aspects of my personality that can help me get near this ideal way of playing football"............Arsene Wenger
