5 Things we learned from the Winter Transfer Window

The transfer window is closed all over Europe and there have been some interesting moves around Europe and beyond and we've picked out a few things that caught the eye;

1. IMPORTANT PLAYERS DON'T SWITCH TEAM
    Ryad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy, Francesco Isco,  Aubemayang, Nolito, these are only but a few of Europe's top performers this season and before the window opened, there were various rumours making rounds concerning their futures in their various clubs but none of them moved....Yet.

2. AND THE WINNER IS? CHINA

Chinese clubs were the winners of the transfer window. Gone are the days were clubs outside Europe only sign washed up players. In this window, we saw China cart away with some of Europe's talented stars at the supposed prime time of their careers. Ramirez and Gervinho are two of which were both taken at relatively the tender age of 28. If this trend continues we'll seriously consider adding Chinese teams to the champions l

3. GUARDIOLA IS MANCHESTER CITY'S NEXT MANAGER
Well not like this came as a shocker to anyone. The story had already leaked since the start of the football season. We can now officially say it. That's all.

4. NO SURPRISE DEALS
This transfer window had way more talk than actual action. Speculations and rumours were the order of the day. Imbula's move to stoke city was equally as interesting as Niasse move to Everton. Those two are interesting prospect but I doubt they're going to get the English league lit. In LA Liga, Cherysev moved to struggling Valencia on loan while Debuchy moved to Bordeaux on loan. There were other deals across Europe but none of are particularly eye catching.

5. THE SUMMER TRANSFER WINDOW WILL BE LIT.
With nothing significant happening during the winter transfer window, we can all expect the coming summer to be exciting. Top clubs are going to return for their prime targets and with English clubs set to receive even more TV money, there's going to be a lot of cash flying around.
